Neglected Orphans in Uganda are living in a dangerous situation for any child. They have suffered unimaginable trauma and are at risk of exploitations such as child labor, early marriage and other damaging activities. While life goes on, they have grown up in a world unable to meet their needs.
Through our orphan support programs, you can help to give a child the lifeline they desperately need. Our priority is to support orphans in their normal or extended family environment. We try to ensure that with support their care taker is able to feed, clothe and educate the orphan in need.
When these young children loose both of their parents, when they are lucky, they get taken in by a relative, but some aren’t that lucky so they end up on the streets trying to find a way to survive. But also, these care takers have children of their own, they start struggling to pay the rent and provide food, leaving the orphans with no choice but to work and give up on school. Once these orphans get enrolled onto our orphan support program, we ensure their care takers can be able to feed and clothe these orphans as well as afford the house rent.
